With $42 million in sales booked, developer begins construction of luxury tower

From The Business Observer

TAMPA — Construction has begun on a 23-story luxury condominium complex on Tampa’s Bayshore Boulevard that’s already exceeded $42 million in sales.

The first stage of construction, which began this week, will encompass the first of two major structures slated for the property, according to a statement from the developer, The Ronto Group. That is a parking garage on the west side of the property for tenants of an office building next door. The roof of the deck will become an amenity deck for Altura residents.

The second structure is the tower, at 2910 W. Barcelona St.

Construction is expected to done on the parking garage in March 2022 and on the tower in late 2023, according to a spokesman for the developer, The Ronto Group.

Altura Bayshore is a 67-unit complex with six penthouses. Units, each with a private elevator foyer, range from 2,176 square feet to 3,575 square feet. The developer says the tower will be the only one along Bayshore Boulevard with an “outdoor rooftop experience that occupies the full rooftop, complete with a pool, rows of cabanas, bar spaces and a sunset terrace.”

The terrace, according to the developer, will have views of Hillsborough Bay and Bayshore Boulevard to the east, Old Tampa Bay to the west and downtown Tampa to the north.

Altura is just one of several luxury condo projects on the Gulf Coast that Ronto is currently working on.

The developer is building Omega Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs, a 26-story tower with 67 condos and is also building Seaglass at Bonita Bay, another 26-story offering with 120 units, next door.

In Naples, Ronto  began work in February on the second of three planned buildings at Eleven Eleven Central, with 72 units.
